How much does mobile bar hire cost?
Our vehicle or dry hire (where only an infrastructure is delivered) both start at £160.00 for half a day.
A dry hire including staff and glassware will increase the overall hire price
Both indoor pop-up bars (whether the large L' shaped or smaller straight bar however, both requiring assembly) start at £190.00 for half a day

Do you provide staff?
Yes. Staff usually include the driver and another member of staff (both experienced at working behind bars)
If your event includes 40 or more guests we would usually deliver services with a team of three staff members

Can you serve weddings?
Yes. We deliver services to a variety of events including, Hen Parties, Corporate events, Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, Sporting and Public events.

Do you travel outside York?
Yes. The Nowbar operates in a 50 mile radius of York without charging any call out fees. If your event is outside this area there is an additional per mile charge

What drinks packages are available?
A standard drinks package usually comprises of
Prosecco - Wine -
Beer bottled and 0.0% alcohol, ( draught optional) Cider
Spirit + Mixers -Vodka, Gin, Rum, Bacardi, Spiced Rum, Disaronno - Cocktails (Please choose 5 from our list of 10)
Dark n Stormy, Sex on the Beach, Caipirinha, Beyoncé, Godfather, Rum Punch, Woo Woo, Bellini, Pina Colada, Aperol Spritz, Baileys White Russian.
Mocktails 0% Gin N Tonic, Elderflower Nojito
Soft drinks Water, Coke, Fanta Orange, Fanta Lemon, Sprite, Apple Juice, Cawston Press, Cordial.
A drink package can be amended as you wish
A non-alcoholic package can also be delivered if the event is for minors or so desired.

Do you provide alcohol licences?
Yes. We are fully licenced to trade and sell alcohol under the 2003 UK Licencing Act. The owner and operator of the Nowbar holds a personal licence which is registered at the city of York council. The licence is on display whenever an event is being attended

Can guests pay themselves?
Yes. The Nowbar offers a card payment and acceptance solution. Cash payments can also be accepted

Dry hire, Open or Cash bars...what ?
These terms refer to how the bar is operated
A dry hire means that you only hire the bar itself - without any staff or alcohol. You may want to provide your own alcohol and run the bar yourself. This can be amended, for example you may want to provide the alcohol but wish to have the bar staffed by us. Or you may want us to deliver the glassware.
Open Bar. This refers to you as the organisor paying an up-front amount so that your guests recieve free drinks and there is no payment taken during service.
Cash Bar. You as the organisor only finance the setup of the bar. All drinks are paid for by the guests.
NOTE: oftern an open and cah bar are combined where you as the organisor pay for a welcome drink, thereafter the guests pay for thier own drinks.
Subsidised Bar. This is where the organisor puts an agreed amount 'behind the Bar' Guests can drink until the amount is exhaused therafter, guests pay for thier own drinks

I'm planning a corporate event, can I pay an all-in 'per person' amount?
Yes definitley. We understand, keeping costs transparent is very important for someone planning a corporate event. For this reason the Nowbar offers an all-in per person, costing model. This is based on the amount of guests, the amount of staff required, whether glassware will be required and the duration of the event.

What happens if the up-front payment is exceeded ?
This can happen. A running total is recorded on our POS. system (till) If, at the end of the event the amount exceeds the package price, this amount will be invoiced, minus any deposit. This also works in the opposite direction. If the threshold isn't reached then a reimbursement will be initiated.

How do I save the date
Book or secure the date by using the form on the Contact page.or fill in the on screen consultation questionaire
Saving the date is important, as we only attend one event per day. So secure the date then let's clarify the details.
There's no pressure. It's your date for at least a week.
